Marks place is ideally situated on the island of Moorea in close proximity to all the amazing and unique activities this beautiful island has to offer.

Moorea Activity Map
Click on an activity in the legend menu, then roll the cursor over the corresponding activity highlights on the map. If the activity is hyperlinked click for website or details. If there are photos linked to the particular activity they will disply in the area under the activity map. Click on the thumbnail and a larger image will display. If there are additional sets of pictures the numbers 1 through 5 will display. Click on the next number and another set of thumbnails will populate. Move you cursor(mouse) over the large picture and any descriptive text associated with the picture will display.

Powerful waves at Haapiti. A renowned spot, left hand reef break. Can handle 10'+. On the right swell great barells. Use a kayak of Marks to get out to the pass. Click on activity highlight to view waves.

Every year, humpback whales swim to French Polynesia from Antarctica. The first ones arrive in June and the last ones depart our islands in early December. The peak season is between mid-August and the end of October. Encounters during this period are very frequent. Breeding females come to deliver their calves in our warm waters, and the other adults come to find a mate while being sheltered from their natural off shore predators (such as the killer whale).
